AATA members have exclusive access to the MyAATA, a members-only library of research reports written by pioneers in the industry, the latest news from the field of art therapy and practical career advancement tools:

  • Art Therapy: Journal of the American Art Therapy Association. The most prestigious publication in the field showcasing leading research and practice-based articles.

  • Toolkits for Careers in Art Therapy. Developed in collaboration with leading employer groups, AATA’s toolkits assist members in developing effective art therapy programs that produce results in growing career tracks.

Indiana Chapter Membership

American Art Therapy Association Chapters are active throughout the United States. Chapters conduct meetings and activities that promote the field of art therapy on a local level. Chapters provide a forum for addressing professional issues as well as a network for members working toward common goals.

The American Art Therapy Association’s Assembly of Chapters provides information and support to chapter members at the local level. You must be an American Art Therapy Association member to become a chapter member.

Professional/Credentialed Professional:  $25

Individuals who have completed graduate level education and training in art therapy or who hold their ATR. This category includes receiving all official publications, to attend meetings, the right to vote, hold office, and serve on committees. AATA membership required. 

New Professional (1 year) $20 /Student: $15

Individuals who do not meet the qualifications of professional membership and who are currently taking courses in art therapy or a related field may be eligible for Student membership. Student members shall be entitled to receive all official publications and to attend meetings, but shall not have the right to vote or hold office.

Associate:  $50

Individuals do not meet qualifications for Professional or Student memberships may become a supporting Friend. Friends shall be entitled to receive all official publications, to attend meetings, but shall not have the right to vote, hold office, or serve on a committee

Affiliate/Contributing:  $50

Individuals, organizations, institutions or foundations which contribute annually to the association may be eligible for a sponsor/patron membership. This member shall be entitled to receive all official publications and to attend the annual meeting, but shall not have the right to vote or hold office.

Retired Professional: $15

Individuals who have practiced, obtained credentials and are now retired from the art therapy profession.
